Privacy policy

Your GIF stays on your device

Selected, dropped, and pasted GIF files are processed in memory in your browser. SlimGIF does not upload these files to a server. The generated download is created in your browser. The tool does not keep a file history or require an account.

Direct URL imports

If you use a direct GIF URL, your browser requests that file from the source website. That website can receive your IP address and request information. SlimGIF does not use an upload service or a proxy for URL imports.

Website delivery

Cloudflare hosts the website and delivers its static files. Requests for the website pass through Cloudflare and include network information such as an IP address, requested URL, and browser headers. Local GIF processing does not send your GIF to Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles infrastructure data under its privacy policy.

Analytics and advertising

This version has no site analytics script, advertising code, or tracking cookies added by SlimGIF. We plan to display third-party advertisements in the future. They are not enabled now. Before adding them, we will update this policy to identify the advertising providers and explain their data use and any required choices.

Contact messages

If you email contact@slimgif.com, your email address and message are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to the operator's Gmail inbox. We use that information to handle your message. Please do not send confidential files. The contact route is for incoming email; this site does not provide an email account or an upload form.

This policy will be updated when the site's data handling changes. You can send privacy questions using the contact page.
